Kin Turns 5

Kin opened its doors on December 8, 2021 and today marks the first day of our 5th year.

When we launched we took the first three months to on-board guests (patients and caregivers).  We did this so we could hear from them and learn what they hoped to get out of Kin.  We listened and began to build our care programming around their wants and needs.  Supporting the mental, physical and social needs of those who sought our help.

At the same time we began researching and meeting with the most caring and amazing practitioners and instructors as we built out our volunteer roster, which is now over 40 people strong!  Our offerings are extensive, as we’ve become an all-under-one-roof facility:

We’ve also become a teaching facility…

We welcome outside instructors, as well as our own practitioners, to host certification training at Kin for Access Bars and Reiki.

We are now a full 360-degree facility as we care for local oncology Healthcare workers by sending practitioners to them, during their shift, to offer calming services like Reiki while they are on shift.

We’ve collaborated with over 50 businesses and foundations across Bucks County to support our programming and our fundraising efforts.  These collaborations give us strength and visibility within the community.

Kristina and I will continue to listen, and we will continue to work hard to facilitate the needs of those we care for.

We hold sacred the tenets we created that have guided us since day one; create a warm and welcoming environment – provide exceptional care – attract amazing volunteers and engage the community in meaningful ways!

By the community.  For the community.

Kin was inspired by Corinne Sikora!
