Hello, it brings me great pleasure to be able to connect with you and share Kin's first newsletter. Since February of last year we have been diligently working with the community to put all the pieces in place to open this beautiful retreat we are now calling Kin (inspired by Corinne Transue Sikora). An all-inclusive, non-medical retreat for cancer patients in treatment and recovery across Bucks County. Corinne Sikora's vision is nearly realized. I say nearly because we are still onboarding guests and haven’t started actually offering services and support. In January, we'll get access to the other half of our space (roughly 2500 sq. ft.) which will house the event space, yoga & fitness studio and library, at that point we will become fully-operational. Kin's success is credited to the overwhelming support we have seen from the community through countless acts of donating time, talent or treasure. Kin will provide the highest level of service to every guest who walks through the door with a focus on their physical, emotional and social needs. Kin aims to changing people's lives for the better in some small way by reducing anxiety and helping people become centered. In this newsletter, we will; hear from Sandy Roberts, our first on-boarded guest, we will introduce you to the companies who helped build Kin, we’ll highlight our amazing roster of experts, you’ll see some of our most recent donations made by our community and learn about our upcoming Golf Classic. I’ll end by sharing that our name, Kin, is meant to reflect family. The immediate family who support and nurture in the traditional sense, but also the extended family represented by the community and those met along the way throughout the cancer journey. Kin strives and thrives because of the community embracing the mantra, “By the community, for the community”. We are thrilled to have the opportunity to serve our cancer community in unique and fulfilling ways. Welcome to Kin!
